You are cordially invited to the presentation ceremony of a source edition of the first Hungarian translations of King Lear, published in the ReTextum series of Reciti Publishing House in the 400th memorial year of William Shakespeare’s death. The event will start at 5 p.m. on Wednesday October 12, 2016, in Boardroom 516 on Floor 5 of the Library.

Theater historian Ildikó Sirató will have a discussion with philologist Zsuzsanna Kiss, editor of the text of the source edition. The two experts will cite text examples, and original manuscripts to be found in the Theater Collection of NSZL will also be presented.
Surprise guest: Béla Fesztbaum, Mari Jászai Award-winning actor.
Our chamber exhibition entitled Shakespeare’s Heroes is still open. Venue of the exhibition: catalog corridor adjacent to the Theater Collection of National Széchényi Library.
