National Széchényi Library is cordially inviting you and your friends to the presentation ceremony of its scientific publications published in honor of the Memorial Year celebrating the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the Reformation.

Program:

  • Zoltán Kodály: Psalm of Geneva no. 114
    The Choir of NSZL will be conducted by Mária Eckhardt.
  • László Boka, Director of Research and Academic Affairs of National Széchényi Library will deliver a welcome speech.
  • Károly Hafenscher, outgoing Ministerial Commissioner of the Reformation Memorial Committee will address the guests.
  • Péter Melius Juhász: Az Szent Ianosnac tött ielenesnec igaz es iras szerint valo magyarazasa prédikatioc szerint… ( Explanation of the appearance to St. John according to true scripture and according to the sermons) (Várad, 1568). Facsimile publication edited by László Ötvös, based on a copy owned by NSZL, with an introduction by László Tőkés (Debrecen, 2017, Nemzetközi Teológiai Könyv (International Theological Book) 89, Series Editor: Dr. Sándor Szathmáry)
    The publication will be presented by István Monok (Library and Information Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences).
  • Albert Szenci Molnár: Psalterium Ungaricum. Small Catechism (Herborn, 1607).
    The accompanying study was written by Judit P. Vásárhelyi. Budapest, Balassi Publishing House – NSZL, 2017, (Bibliotheca Hungarica Antiqua 46, Series Editor: Péter Kőszeghy)
    The volume will be presented by János Heltai (NSZL).
  • Albert Szenci Molnár: An Anniversary Sermon. Appendix de idolo Lauretano (Oppenheim, 1618). The accompanying study was written by Mihály Imre. (Budapest, Balassi Publishing House – NSZL, 2017 (Bibliotheca Hungarica Antiqua 45, Series Editor: Péter Kőszeghy)
    The facsimile edition will be presented by János Heltai (NSZL).

    The books will be presented and the round-table discussion will be led by Réka Tasi (University of Miskolc).
