Here are two news items from the newsletter of the Hungarian Electronic Library (Hungarian abbreviation: MEK):

The number of items stored in the Hungarian Digital Archive of Pictures database amounts to 75,000. This database includes mainly digital photos and the image illustrations of digitized books and journals. These images are collected, processed and serviced by National Széchényi Library.

Due to cooperation between National Széchényi Library and the National Cultural Fund of Hungary (NKA), more and more electronic journals arrive in the Electronic Periodicals Archive & Database (EPA) of the Library. The National Cultural Fund mandatorily requires from the print journals supported by NKA to digitally archive and service publications, printed for editorial offices, in NSZL EPA database.
