Shu-hsien Tseng, Directress-General of National Central Library visited National Széchényi Library in April 2015. During her visit, she signed a cooperation agreement between the two national libraries and, at the same time, Shu-hsien Tseng invited Director-General László Tüske to Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE) 2016.

The prestigious event is the second biggest book festival of Asia, outmatched only by the one held in Beijing, and it is also a gateway to Far Eastern book publishing and book market. National Széchényi Library will represent Hungary with several publications at the festival and, following the exhibition, these publications will be donated to National Central Library.

The official opening ceremony of TIBE will be held on February 16, 2016, where, in the framework of a book donating ceremony, Director-General László Tüske will hand over NSZL publications presenting Hungary and several other bilingual publications of our Library.

On February 17, László Tüske will deliver a lecture in National Central Library, entitled Role and tasks of an East-Central European national library in the 21st century. During his stay, Director-General of National Széchényi Library will visit several libraries of Taiwan. The official program will end with a reception given in honor of László Tüske by Shu-hsien Tseng.
