The Publishing House of National Széchényi Library will wait for you with two book presentations at the Margó Festival of Literature and Book Fair in Várkert Bazár. Visitors can choose not only from the latest publications of NSZL Publishing House, but also from the previously published books at the stand of the Hungarian national library. On Friday and Saturday, you can listen to the editors of two recently published volumes at the literary roundtable discussions.

Programs:
Tessék színt vallani. Osvát Ernő szerkesztői levelezése (Make Your Statement. Ernő Osvát’s Editorial Correspondence) Vol. 1–2
NSZL Publishing House and Gondolat Publishing House present the so far unpublished editorial correspondence of Ernő Osvát who was, in many respects, the omnipotent, talented editor of Hungarian literary journal Nyugat (West). The two volumes contain letters written by prominent figures of Hungarian literature including Dezső Kosztolányi, Endre Ady, Ferenc Molnár and several other writers and poets. Out of the approximately 1,500 letters, the earliest one was written in 1898, while the last one, a farewell letter addressed to his friend, Artúr Elek, must have been finished an hour prior to his death, in the evening of October 28, 1929.

As part of the book presentation ceremony, literary historian Zoltán Fráter will have a discussion with editors of the book Erika Nemeskéri and Tibor Kosztolánczy. Welcome speech will be given by István Bácskai, Head of Gondolat Publishing House.
Date: Friday October 11, 2019, 4 p.m.
