Visit of a Russian delegation to NSZL

Lead by Svetlana Gorohova, Head of the International Cultural Center of Moscow-based Rudomino Library for Foreign Literature, a Russian delegation including 13 professionals paid an official visit to National Széchényi Library on December 8, 2015.  In addition to several staff members of Rudomino Library for Foreign Literature, members of the delegation included restorers of Moscow-based The State Tretyakov Gallery, Deputy Director of Moscow-based Russian State Library for Young Adults and Director of the Special Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Kaluga.

In the first half of the program, Director-General László Tüske received the guests and then Barbara Kiss, Head of the Department of Cultural Relations took them on a tour of the Hungarian national library, also presenting the history of NSZL. After that, the delegation visited the Restoration and Bindery Department led by Marianne Érdi, where our colleagues showed them some elements of the rather diverse department workflow.

At the end of their visit, members of the delegation had a discussion with our colleagues in hope of a future overall agreement, with special regard to e-services.

On behalf of National Széchényi Library, present at the meeting were László Boka, Director of Research and Academic Affairs, István Elbe, Director of Information Services, Marianne Érdi, Head of the Restoration and Bindery Department, István Moldován, Head of the Department of Electronic Library Services, Miklós Lendvay, Director of E-services and Scientific Secretary Edina Zsupán.
