The 8th volume of the series Bibliotheca Scientiae et Artis, published jointly by the Hungarian national library and Gondolat Publishing House, is out. The book focuses on representations of power in sciences and arts.
On the occasion of the 275th anniversary of the birth and the 230th anniversary of the death of Móric Benyovszky, the excellent Hungarian soldier, explorer, geographic descriptor, THE BENYOVSZKY MEMORIAL COMMITTEE will present programs of the Memorial Year on the Night of Museums 2016.
You and your friends are cordially invited to the opening ceremony of an exhibition presenting textiles works by Noémi szeredi Ambrus. Entitled “Beyond Beautiful”, the 70th jubilee exhibition will be opened at 4 p.m. on Thursday June 16, 2015, in the Ars Librorum exhibition space of National Széchényi Library.

Section of Modern Hungarian Literature at HAS Research Center for the Humanities, Institute for Literary Studies is holding a three-day conference entitled “On this Big Binge” between June 8 and 10, 2016. The conference is the second event of a series consisting of three conferences on the cultural effects and consequences of Word War I.
Hungarian Open Air Museum, the Hungarian Institute for Culture and NSZL signed a consortium agreement, the aim of which is that its participants should jointly apply for support at the tender invitation entitled “Acting communities – active community involvement” and published in the framework of Széchenyi 2020 program, and, in case of winning, to jointly realize goals set out in the application.
This year too National Széchényi Library will take part in Festive Book Week organized on the 87th occasion by the founder, the Hungarian Publishers' and Booksellers' Association.
Prof. DSc. Stoyan Denchev, Rector of  Sofia-based State University of Library Studies and Information Technologies recently paid a visit to National Széchényi Library.
On May 27, 2016, a professional cooperation agreement was signed by László Tüske, Director-General of National Széchényi Library (NSZL) and Péter Kiszl, Director of Institute of ELTE BTK KITI (Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Humanities, Institute of Library and Information Science).
At 5 p.m. on June 2, 2016 we will present a volume including 77, so far unknown stories written for adults by Ervin Lázár. We are looking forward to seeing you and your friends at the book presentation ceremony.
