One of the finishing events of our exhibition entitled The Corvina Library and the Buda Workshop will be a discussion of professionals on 15th–16th century book culture. The event will start at 5 p.m. on Thursday February 7, 2019.

In the afternoon of Sunday February 10, 2019, the bonus day following the closing date of our exhibition entitled The Corvina Library and the Buda Workshop, the safety glass will be lifted from two exquisite codices of the exhibition. In the presence of visitors, curator Edina Zsupán and Judit Lauf, one of the research fellows of the exhibition will leaf through the more than 500-year-old volumes.
The guide to the exhibition displays the material of the exhibition entitled The Corvina Library and the Buda Workshop, together with accompanying studies and detailed descriptions of the objects.

A book by Krisztina Lajosi entitled Staging the Nation. Opera and Nationalism in 19th-Century Hungary will be presented in National Széchényi Library on February 6, 2019.

Round-table discussions related to the exhibition entitled The Corvina Library and the Buda Workshop, a conference focusing on Júlia Szendrey, and the exhibition of Hymn, the national anthem of Hungary and the related Erkel sheet music will mark the celebration of the Day of Hungarian Culture on January 22, 2019.
The exhibition opening on November 6, 2018 aims at exploring a so far hidden, less emphasized aspect of King Matthias Hunyadi’s library. In addition to the codices ordered from Italy, similarly precious and decorative manuscripts were made in the royal court as well. The aim of the exhibition is to explore and present the systematic and grandiose endeavor, serving the formation of the royal library in the court of Buda.
