This is a publication for the centenary of World War I on the Hungarian literature related to it, richly illustrated by contemporary photographs and high quality works of art. Literary Journal shows how our writers and artists lived the war either on the front line (Zsigmond Móricz, Ferenc Molnár, Ernő Szép, Jenő J. Tersánszky, László Mednyánszky, János Vaszary and László Lajtha among others), or the hinterland (like Endre Ady, Dezső, Kosztolányi, Mihály Babits, Zoltán Ambrus and Károly Lovik). We can learn a great deal about how the horrible events of the war inspired a number of memorable works.

Literary Journal, a quarterly joint publication of Magyar Napló and National Széchényi Library is a richly illustrated magazine of more than 100 pages, primarily dedicated to the broad audience, but also well usable as educational  material. Its thematic issues always focus on one classical author, period of literary history or cultural phenomenon. Apart from including texts so far unpublished, Literary Journal can also significantly broaden the horizon of re-reading. The previous issues were dedicated to Gyula Illyés, Sándor Márai, Géza Gárdonyi, Gyula Krúdy and Miklós Zrínyi.
