The Petőfi Literary Museum and the National Széchényi Library are organising a workshop discussing the topic born digital on the occasion of the Hungarian Science Day on 5 November 2021.

For the first time in Hungary, the conference will address the comprehensive issues of born digital archiving. We have invited renowned experts from public collections that already have a born digital practice as speakers, as well as lawyers who are experts in the field of rights management. They will give presentations on the following topics:

  • born digital in practice
  • e-mail archiving
  • copyright and data protection issues related to born digital archives/archiving
  • born digital archiving and document management practices at the Hungarian National Archives
  • born digital archiving and document management in a fine art collection (Ludwig Museum)
  • web content preservation and its practices in the National Széchényi Library
  • audiovisual public collections and born digital material and archiving born digital material at the Hungarian National Film Institute
  • legal management of digital assets

  • copyright issues in born digital archives/archiving

After the conference, participants are invited to a roundtable discussion.
