We would like to inform you that one of the possible access routes to our library, the entrance to the express elevator on Palota Street and the elevator itself will be only available for limited use until the end of August 2021.
Thereafter, between June 12 and the end of August 2021, construction work on the elevator entrance will take place between 9 am and 4 pm. Pedestrians will only be allowed to use the entrance and the elevator on Palota Street outside these hours, i.e. before 9 am and after 4 pm.
We suggest the following as alternative walking routes in the coming weeks:
- the Szent György Street from Dísz Square, through the Lions’ Gate,
- the Palota Street from Tabán to Dísz Square, or
- the escalator from the Danube bank through the main gate of the Castle Garden Bazaar, then the elevator opposite to it (to the 2nd floor), then through the Savoy Terrace, the passage to the right of the main entrance of the Hungarian National Gallery towards the Matthias Fountain.
