Please note that, in accordance with epidemiological regulations, we can only offer research facilities in our special collection reading rooms after booking a place and time slot in advance.
We kindly ask you to make your reservation at least 24 hours before your planned visit, if possible. If you are unable to come despite your reservation, please let us know so that we can make the appointment available to someone else.
We will respond to all booking requests, but out-of-hours emails will only be processed on the next opening day, so we kindly ask for your patience. Please include your telephone contact details in your e-mail enquiry, if possible, so that our staff can contact you more easily in the event of a double-booking.
- 9 reading places are available in the shared reading room of the Manuscript Collection, Collection of Early Printed Books and the map collection of the Map, Poster and Small Print Collection on floor 6.
Booking: manuscriptum@oszk.hu [1], regikonyv@oszk.hu [2], terkep@oszk.hu [3] Please note that it is currently relatively cold in this reading room. - 6 reading places are available in the reading room of the poster collection of the Map, Poster and Small Print Collection on floor 5;
Booking: plakat@oszk.hu - In the reading room of the Theatre History and Music Collection on floor 6, we can provide 8 large desks, 2 small reading areas and 1 place in the catalogue room for working exclusively with card catalogues.
Booking: szinhaz@oszk.hu [4], zene@oszk.hu - In the new research room of the Historical Photo and Video Collection on floor 7, there are 4 reading places available.
Booking: fenykeptar@oszk.hu [5], interjutar@oszk.hu [6] (by 12 noon on the day before your planned visit.) On arrival, our colleagues in the general reading room will assist you to enter the research room.
