On 25 July 2022, the renovation of the 7th floor Newspaper Reading Room, Historical Studies Reading Room and Literary Studies Reading Room will begin. Due to the refurbishment, the open shelves in the southern reading rooms will be temporarily unavailable.
We would like to inform our readers that from 25 July 2022, renovation works will start in the southern reading rooms on the 7th floor. During the construction works, the open shelf documents in the Newspaper Reading Room, the Historical Studies Reading Room and the Literary Studies Reading Room will not be available for use, but documents in the stacks will still be available for request and for reading on site. From the end of September, researchers will be welcomed in a freshly refurbished environment with updated book collections in our new reading rooms, which will be the first of the reading rooms to receive energy-efficient lighting and modern furniture.
We kindly ask for your patience and understanding until the renovation works are completed.
