Dr. Sándor Dörnyei, Bibliothecarius Emeritus of our Library was granted the Lajos Markusovszky Award of Orvosi Hetilap (Medical Weekly) on May 4, 2016, for his medical historical publication published in last year’s volume of the weekly. A week earlier, he was elected honorary member of the Hungarian Medical Historical Society.
We are proud to announce that Dr. Sándor Dörnyei, Bibliothecarius Emeritus of our Library was granted the Lajos Markusovszky Award [1] of Orvosi Hetilap (Medical Weekly) on May 4, 2016, for his medical historical publication entitled “Contemporary press on the disease and death of Semmelweis [2]” published in last year’s volume of the weekly (2015, Vol. 156, Issue 18, pp.744-745).
A week earlier, he was elected honorary member [3] of the Hungarian Medical Historical Society, for compiling bibliographies indispensable for medical historical and pharmaceutical historical research.
