Earth Day 2017 – April 25–26

On the occasion of Earth Day 2017, several presentations will be held in National Széchényi Library on Tuesday April 25 and Wednesday April 26. Topics include green lifestyle changes, outlines of a new economic paradigm, ecologically oriented improvement of the quality of life, and fight against climate change. In addition to the presentations, environmentalist NGOs were invited to present their publications and to talk with those interested in issues related to environment protection.

Presentations will be held in the Lobby on Floor 8, and NGO stands will be set up on the corridor of the Express Elevator.

Tuesday April 25

  • 16.00: Green lifestyle changes – Gyula Szabó, Ökoszolgálat (Ecoservice)

Wednesday April 26

  • 16.00: New economic paradigm – Dr. Gergely Tóth, Környezettudatos Vállalatirányításért Egyesület, KÖVET (Association for Sustainable Economies)   
  • 16.40 Recommendations for improving the quality of life in Budapest within a short time – Márton Vargha, Levegő Munkacsoport (Clean Air Action Group)
  • 17.10 Fighting climate change with knife and fork – Éva Varga, Föld Napja Alapítvány (Earth Day Foundation)

On April 25, 2017, visitors will be waited for by the staff of nonprofit ecoshop Zöld Zug (Green Corner) on the corridor of the Express Elevator, while on April 26, volunteers of the Clean Air Action Group will be ready to answer your questions related to environment protection. You are welcome to browse all their publications and to get to know their environmentally friendly products!
