National Széchényi Library and COMP-REND Ltd. cordially invite you to the opening ceremony of Tompa 200 “The song may not have been forgotten”, an exhibition on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Mihály Tompa's birth.

Date: Tuesday May 23, 2017, 4 p.m.
Venue: National Széchényi Library, Ceremonial Hall

Welcome speech will be delivered by Dr. László Tüske, Director-General (NSZL).

The exhibition will be opened by literary historian Márton Szilágyi, professor and head of department, Doctor of Science (DSc) of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

Contributors:

  • András Szabó, performer, and the Folk Song Singing Group of the Elementary School of Sárszentmiklós – preparing teacher: Mrs. Ferenc Horváth, nee Erzsébet Mikuli,
  • Instrumental chamber group of the Sárszentmiklós Division of Violin Art School – preparing music teacher: Zoltán Jákob, and
  • Dr. Anikó Ágnes Patonai and Rita Szűts-Novák, literary historians, curators of the exhibition

The exhibition will be open between May 23 and September 30, 2017, during the opening hours of NSZL, in the Catalog space on Floor 7. The exhibition will be closed to visitors during the summer closure of National Széchényi Library.
