Library Trends 2023 – International Conference

On May 23, 2023, Judit Gerencsér, Deputy Director General and Zoltán Lewalt-Jezierski, Head of Cabinet represented our library at the Library Trends 2023 – 22nd Specialised Seminar for Librarians and Information Specialists in the V4 countries, in Banská Bystrica. This year's event was entitled New Modern Library Services in the V4 Countries: Survival School for Libraries in the Digital Environment of the V4+ Countries and was held at the Slovak State Scientific Library.

In her presentation, Deputy Director General Judit Gerencsér introduced the new library initiatives and developments of the National Széchényi Library entitled Innovations for users in the 21st century. Head of Cabinet Zoltán Lewalt-Jezierski gave a presentation on the new exhibition innovations of the National Library in the past year under the title "Modern exhibition tools in library spaces".

The conference was attended by experts from the V4 countries: Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic. The meeting had the important aim of promoting international cooperation between libraries from the V4+ countries and the event contributed to further strengthening international relations between libraries and library associations in the V4 countries.

The staff of the national library participated in the international event at the invitation of the State Scientific Library. The conference was supported by the International Visegrad Fund.
