Changes to the opening hours of the National Library of Foreign Literature (OIK)

The reading room and open shelf rooms of the National Library of Foreign Literature will be closed from 2 November 2023 until the end of April 2024, but our lending services will be available at the registration desk during the following times:

  • Monday–Tuesday, Thursday–Friday: 9.30–15.30
  • Wednesday: 12.30–19.30

Please note that the first 24/7 book return and lending machine in Budapest is located in the lobby of the National Library of Foreign Literature is operating during the irregular opening hours.

The Head of the Public Collection Standardisation Office of the Digital Humanities Centre, Szabolcs Dancs, was invited by the Association of Hungarian Librarians in Slovakia (SZMKE) to participate in the Association's conference on 18 September 2023, which was held at the Cultural and Educational Centre of the State Academic Library in Košice.
