We are back with extended opening hours!

Dear Visitors! 

From 22 August, we will welcome you again on Mondays from 2 pm to 8 pm and Tuesdays to Saturdays from 9 am to 8 pm in the General Collection Reading Rooms. 

The opening hours of the Special Collections Reading Rooms are as follows:  

Free cultural events on 20 August

On St. Stephen's Day, Saturday 20 August 2022, we will be hosting an open day and a variety of events. Our reading rooms will be closed, but visitors can take part in free guided tours of our buildings and storage rooms, exhibition, and a demonstration of handpress printing.
Our bookshop and gift shop will also be open on the Open Day to welcome book lovers.

National Széchényi Library remains open during 2022 summer

National Széchényi Library’s collections and exhibitions are accessible to readers and visitors in shortened opening hours from 18 July to 21 August 2022. We look forward to welcoming our visitors back in full opening hours from 22 August 2022.

Adults: 2.200 Ft 

Children (6–18 years old): 1.000 Ft 

You can also buy tickets online from 7 June on the Jegymester website. Please select the National Széchényi Library as the institution to support. Thank you! 

 

Self-service copy coming soon

Dear Visitors! 

The express copy service for customers will be closed at its current location, next to the 7th floor issue desk, due to renovations. Starting from the middle of June, readers will be able to use two new self-service scanners.
